Shorelake League (Ages 4-8)

For players ages 4-8, teams within the Shorelake boundaries play one another.

Our Shorelake League is a great way for players to get started with the game of soccer. Games are held at Shoreline and Lake Forest Park area fields against other Shorelake teams. Referees are provided by the club and score isn’t kept. Play is organized and managed by Shorelake Soccer Club.

  • Practices - Practices are twice a week starting in late August. Team rosters and practice schedules are finalized mid-August (families will receive an email).

    Games - Games are each Saturday starting in September and run through November.

  • Field sizes, goal sizes, and other rule changes are made at each age group to keep an appropriate level of difficulty and fun.

    Modifications to standard rules are in-play for these younger ages, and we have adopted the SYSA League Rules for U5-U9.

    Games are occasionally against teams from neighboring Hillwood Soccer Club (in western Shoreline).

  • Players are provided a jersey with their registration (and have the option to purchase shorts and socks). Players will need to provide their own:

    • shorts

    • soccer socks

    • shin guards

    • soccer cleats (not baseball or football cleats)

    • soccer ball

      • U5-U8 - Size 3

      • U9 - Size 4

    • water bottle
